I received the following email from Ola today. It appears, as I previously expected and commented on, that they’re not only operating through the Covid-19 Level 4 stage here in New Zealand, but also specifically through the Easter 2020 period.

“Easter for many of us is going to be very different this year with us staying at home over the long weekend. We wanted to let you know we’re still here for any essential travel. Whether you need groceries or medical supplies before or during the weekend we’ve got you covered. Please make sure you only travel when essential and follow the latest Government advice. Here’s a reminder of how you can stay safe when travelling with us:  ✔ Ride solo or with a small group of people from the same household, for example your family or housemates. ✔ Sit in the back seat to give you and your driver space. ✔ Roll the windows down during your ride. ✔ Cover your nose and mouth using your elbow or a tissue if you feel during your ride you’re going to sneeze or cough. ✔ Wear a face mask if you are required to do so. ✔ Wash your hands often with soap and water. Our drivers have also been required to increase cleaning and sanitisation of their vehicle. You should remember to wash your hands or use sanitiser before/after each ride. Keeping each other healthy and safe during this time is the most important thing we can do. It’s great to see that Ola are working throughout this period. As always, the advice is not to travel right now if you don’t need to. But if you do need to get to medical appointments or supermarkets over this period, Ola is alive.
