It’s the silly season, the festive season, with Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties galore to be held across New Zealand.  Whether you’re in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch or elsewhere, you’ll likely be invited to a Christmas party of some form or another. It could be a work Christmas party, a friends and family Christmas party, or a charity Christmas party.  And it could occur at your workplace, a function centre, an RSA, a restaurant, or even on the beach! 

Regardless of where it occurs, it’s very important that you get home safely.  There are no excuses for drink driving these days, nor should there be.  If you’ve had more than one drink an hour, do NOT drive.  Do not attempt to drive.  Don’t even THINK about driving.  Drink driving endangers yourself, and also all other road users.  It’s simply not worth the risk.

There are many advantages of getting a ride sharing service.  Trackable history in case you leave something in the cab.  Recorded ride sessions if there’s anything untoward occurring.  Support available during the ride and after the ride to make sure you’re safe.  And knowledge that the price you are quoted in the app is about or exactly the price you will pay.  No more fumbling around for loose change and losing cash in the taxi.  No more unscrupulous drivers trying to charge you more when you’ve had a few drinks.  No more hassles waiting in the rain for a cab that never shows up.
